Spokane is located in the eastern part of Washington State and fondly referred to as the “heart of the Inland Northwest.” The second largest city in the state, it is also the largest city between Seattle and Minneapolis on the I-90 corridor. Sitting 18 miles west of the Idaho border, Spokane is also only 110 miles south of the Canadian border.

The land around Spokane is a diverse patchwork of rolling wheat fields to the south and forested foothills leading to snow capped peaks to the north. To the west lies the sloping Columbia River Basin spotted with rich irrigated farm land interspersed with volcanic desert “scablands.” A short hop East is the charming resort city of Coeur d’Alene and the foot hills leading to the towering Rocky Mountains.

Spring, summer and fall bring ideal weather for enjoying the many surrounding lakes and rushing streams, the plethora of biking trails that range from leisure excursions to strenuous challenges, organized sports, golf, camping, hiking, skateboarding and evening strolls along the river. Winter and it’s head for the slopes! From downhill skiing, to cross country traverses and snowboarding, sledding hills, sleigh rides and winter walks, it’s a cool outdoor time for Spokane.

Spokane International Airport offers a variety of services to meet traveling needs. This airport is the second largest commercial service airport in the State of Washington. The 4,800-acre facility is served by ten airlines that operate 70 daily departures providing nonstop service to 15 major destinations.
By Train

By Car
Spokane is located just off I-90, Washington's main east-west interstate. U.S. 2 can be used as an alternative scenic route from western Washington. U.S. 395 is the main route from Canada south to Spokane and then on south through the agriculturally rich part of the state called the Palouse. U.S. 195 connects to Lewiston, Idaho and points south.
